Currently, I am working on the synthesis of Lanthanide-based dinuclear complexes and Coordination polymers using mixed carboxylic acid ligand strategy. Then, a thorough characterisation of the synthesised complexes and polymers have been done by using various characterisation techniques. The commercially available ligand benzene dicarboxylic acid is playing an important role in the synthesis, on changing its ratio the polymer is formed instead of dinuclear complex. We used different ratio of the ligand to see the behaviour of mix lanthanide metals in order to achieve the self sorting.

Parallely, the polymers have been explored as the catalyst for the synthesis of cyclic carbonates and we are also aiming to use the dinuclear complexes and polymers as sensors.
